The weather crushed us for the first few weeks of January…. Clouds, wind, rain!!! It went from almost 80 degrees to in the low 30’s….. Through it all we had to grind it out knowing that there were tons of fish around. Cloudy windy days still produced big fish and presented anglers with the close up and down casts that were given to them due to the conditions. The weather has started to stabilize over the past coupe days and the fly fishing opportunities for giant red fish have gotten better by the day. With the sun we have been able to see them from a long ways out making it easier to sight fish these studs. January is a great time of the year especially when you get some decent weather!!
