We have had a colder than usual March here in Louisiana. With Air temperatures at times the coldest we have had all year, the fly fishing for monster red fish has been on fire! The water temps have remained cool keeping the big bull red fish in our inshore shallow water fishery. The sight fishing for these fish has been incredible and when we aren’t throwing flies at them, top water plugs have been getting crushed….. We are seeing a lot of schooling fish allowing for opportunities at double and triple headers! I was even able to get out for a day of fishing and caught my personal best 42 lb red fish on fly!!!!
